Oxford Rail GER 10t Covered Van - P Way Tool Van Goole Dock 040102Introduced in 1911 by the Great Eastern Railway, a fleet of Diagram 72 vans was built to a 10 ft 6 in wheelbase for use on a wide range of freight duties. Originally rated at 10 tons, their carrying capacity was reduced to 8 tons in June 1927. The class proved long lived, with many examples remaining in revenue earning service into the late 1950s. Under British Railways ownership, they were frequently seen operating as part of engineering trains.

Adequate for our use.....

The book arrived a week before expected and they were true to their evaluation that this was a used book in "acceptable condition". It was once a library book and has been well loved. Someone has taken contact paper to try to salvage the cover and binding. It looks rumply, but we were getting this for a 1 year old whose Dad is going to go to Heavy Equipment School for the next 4 years, so this will be a fine book for a little guy as the insides look fine.....I wouldn't have been happy if I'd wanted a new looking book, but the price was very reasonable. I think it was $3.99 for shipping and a penny for the book. SUCHA DEAL!
